RBC Race for the Kids is an exciting series of global charitable runs supporting youth causes. Increasing in popularity each year, RBC Race for the Kids events have attracted more than 121,000 participants to date and raised in excess of CAD$27M for partner charities worldwide.
This year, on April 17, RBC Royal Bank (Barbados) Limited in collaboration with The University of The West Indies will be hosting the inaugural RBC Race for the Kids benefitting the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus.
In August 2013, the Government of Barbados announced that Barbadians pursuing studies at any of the campuses of the University of the West Indies would be required to pay tuition fees. This resulted in a 40% decline in registration as many qualified potential students could no longer afford to attend.
This challenge to assist students has been met by the dedicated family at RBC. Our aim is to raise funds for the Campus Student Scholarship Fund to assist both incoming and existing students.
RBC has a long legacy of supporting youth’s causes worldwide. The races are all part of our larger commitment to kids and youth through the RBC Kids Pledge, a five-year, $100 million promise to improve the well-being of one million kids and youth.
Come out for the Cause! Join us Easter Monday, April 17th for the RBC Royal Bank Race for the Kids!
